Zebra and Giraffe

Two more little ones finished for the London show......no names yet!
The zebra is a new design to be launched at the show. Both are about 7" and made from mohair and I handpainted their markings.

Little bugbears

These are new little bears that will be going to the Hugglets show in London on the 9th September, they are 4" and made from cashmere and have little padded ditsy print wings!

Bug bear

Have been re-designing my little bug bear and just about to start making one in lovely pastel sassy fabrics.....watch this space!

WSPA event

This is the little giraffe I've made for a fundraising event for WSPA to raise funds for rescued bears in Romania http://www.wspa.org.uk/latestnews/2009/Climb_every_mountain_for_the_bears.aspx

Third crochet

Started my third throw using a gorgeous alpaca yarn in a deep pink and making slightly bigger squares this time

Second crochet blanket

I've finished my second crochet project with a lovely variegated wool, great fun to make!

A piglet named Cobweb

This tiny piglet was a commission for a lovely collector and she named him Cobweb. He was such fun to make!

Clockmakers bear

A new little black bear, he wears a clock winding key and is gently aged to give a vintage look. Black mohair is quite tricky to photograph and even trickier to stitch! He was inspired from watching a tv programme about the black bears of Minnesota.

Having got totally hooked (sorry!) on crochet my second project to finish is a more colourful blanket.

Little bear Mickleton

I've had a request for more photos of my little bear, so here he is! I made him out of a vintage piece of upholstery mohair which gives him an aged look.

First crochet project

I've finished my first crochet blanket in a gorgeous cream alpaca yarn. Here testing it out for cosiness is Mickleton a little bear I made out of a vintage piece of mohair fabric.

Alpaca crochet

I have made all my squares for my Alpaca blanket...just got to join them all together.
I now have three crochet projects on the go at once as I keep finding lovely new wool and so start another!
So I must try and complete my first crochet project, having learnt how to make a granny square just a few weeks ago!

Next a Lion

The giraffe is now all finished...(no photo yet, strict instructions from the show organiser no preview photos!)
...so took some time off for coffee and gossip with friends...now back to work on a little lion...

Pink giraffe

On my work table today is a pink giraffe all cut out and ready to sew. Once made it will be top secret (no previews allowed!) until the 'Friends of Teddy' online show Friday 13th July - Sunday 15th July...where giraffe will be available for adoption!
